Film review: Earth girls are easy

Story line

The movie starts with three aliens who come across earth. There is a blue alien, a red alien and a yellow alien. On earth, Valerie Gail is a manicurist who feels that her fiance is not so interested in her any more. When she surprises him, she finds out that he is cheating on her. After she kicks him out, the aliens crash their spaceship in her pool. Valerie takes them to her best frined and they shave off the fur of the aliens. To their surprise, the three aliens are good looking men. The red one called Wiploc, the yellow one is called Mac and the red one Zeebo. They learn about earth from the girls, and try and blend in. Valerie and Mac start to like each other. But what will they do when the spaceship is fixed. Will Valerie go off into space or will Mac stay, and live on earth?

The cast

Geena Davis Geena Davis was at the height of her popularity in 1988, when she made Earth Girls are Easy. She first appeared on the screen in Tootsie opposite Dustin Hoffman. She played the lead in Beatlejuice, and won an Oscar in 1988 for The Accidental Tourist. In 1991, she got an Oscar nomination for her part in Thelma and Louise. She also had success partly in A League of Their Own and Hero. After some flops and a time out from movies, Davis starred in the TV show Commander and Chief, which won her a Golden Globe for the best actress in 2006. Jeff Goldblum Goldblum played lead roles in movies like The Fly, Vibes and Into the Night. He also appeared in the two blockbusters namely Independence Day and two Jurassic Park movies. Jim Carrey The role of Jim Carrey in Earth Girls are Easy was one in which he starred in his early career before he became a household name. He shot to stardom in 1994 with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Since then, he has had many hits at the box-office like The Mask, Liar Liar and Dumb and Dumber.
