What is the high tech institute?

Now known as the Arnhem Education Group, the High Tech Institute was the umbrella name for a collection of private, for-profit educational institutions in the United States which focus on providing technological and vocational programmes. The colleges began as a single campus in Phoenix, Arizona, and have since expanded to include 24 campuses and an online school. This article gives an overview of what the colleges offer follows.

History and location

High-Tech Institute, Inc. along with its sister corporation TCI Education, Inc. started trading as (DBA) Anthem Education Group in March 2009. The group was founded in 1965 as the High-Tech Electronics Institute of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona. The management made a decision in the 1980s to acquire other educational institutions as the population of Phoenix grew rapidly. Acquisition of many colleges Since then, the organisation has acquired a host of other colleges, in a variety of locations in the United States. Arnhem Education colleges stretch from New York and New Jersey to St Louis and furth to Reno, Nevada. There are now 12 campuses known as Anthem College, seven known as Anthem Institute, and a further two in Tennessee which are called Anthem Career College. Arnhem College Online was founded in 2002, and functions as a division of Arnhem College, Phoenix.

Learning and lifestyle

Classes at the various colleges are taught primarily by a faculty which has enjoyed extensive occupational and professional experience in their chosen area. The teaching methodology focuses on individualised and personally tailored programmes. Programmes The various institutions contained within the group tend to focus on occupational and vocational courses, offering a range of Diploma, Associates, Bachelors or Masters programmes. Examples include training programmes for potential massage therapists, Veterinary Technicians and Accountants, amongst many others. Accreditation The different schools in the Arnhem Education Group receive their accreditation from a number of different bodies. According to the company itself, all of its schools and colleges are accredited by either the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
