  The Blog Rank is a statistical evaluation tool to compare blogs. Ranking is based on several criteria:

  • The blogger's activity (daily updating, etc.)
  • Viewership details (number of unique visitors, page views, visitor recurrence, time spent on blog, etc.)
  • Visitor reactions (comments, links, etc.)

  A community is a group of internet users who share similar interests. The links and debates that bloggers share give way to the creation of communities sorted by topic.

  The Partenariat Droits d'auteur is an interactive exchange between advertisers, Overblog and the bloggers. Overblog is the intermediary between the advertiser and the blogger and handles all the administrative part of the process. This agreement enables bloggers to have advertisements displayed on their blogs in exchange for a financial compensation paid via author's rights (France only).

  The Overblog portal relies on the bloggers and their publications. Bloggers publish their articles in a certain category which appeals to a certain audience. This increases the platform's popularity and attracts new bloggers.

  Overblog concentrates all its effort on exchanges between the blogosphere, the bloggers and the platform. First of all, bloggers publish their articles and get financial compensation (France only). The articles/blogs are sorted by category which appeals to specific advertisers. With this referencing, other external services interact with the platform (search engines, multimedia hosts...). This is all part of the viewership measurement process which widens the blogger panel.

• The future of OverBlog

  Overblog is one of the main blog platforms. It is characterised by its large audience and performance. Beyond the blogging applications, it is an internet publication tool able to evaluate and push content on a widescale.
