Where is Orlando?

The bustling U.S. city of Orlando is located in central Florida, USA, about a four-hour drive from Miami. The city is popular among both local and international visitors due to its wide variety of theme parks, including Disney World, Universal Studios, water and adventure parks and the nearby Kennedy Space Centre. With so many Orlando attractions on offer, the only problem will be to decide which one to visit first!

Parks within Orlando

Disney World Without a doubt, the most famous of Orlando's attractions is Walt Disney World Resort. Much more than just a theme park, the resort boasts four differently-themed parks, water parks, golf courses and a fitness centre. Universal Studios, Florida One of two Universal parks in the U.S., the studios provide rides and behind-the-scenes movie attractions. The park also offers on-site hotels and nightclubs. SeaWorld and Aquatica This popular theme park has branches worldwide, and Orlando does not miss out. SeaWorld offers marine shows, a roller coaster, and the chance to see many sea creatures up close and personal.

If you have time and money to spare, why not visit some of the parks outside the city? Kennedy Space Centre NASA's launch headquarters, the Kennedy Space Centre, is about two hours to the east of Orlando. The centre gives visitors the chance to meet astronauts, experience flight simulators and tour the launching areas. Busch Gardens Located about an hour and a half, to the west of Orlando in Tampa Bay, Busch Gardens is an adventure park combining rides and animal sightings. The park boasts more roller coasters than any other location in Florida, and also gives visitors the chance to get close to the endangered creatures, such as the Bengal tiger and the Orangutans.
