Sky Plus has revolutionised in the way that we watch TV. However, as with most things, the more revolutionary they are the more complicated they are and the Sky Plus box is no different. In this article, we look at how to use it effectively and detail all of its unique features.
Due to the fact that its called a SKY HD box, it provides the customer with high definition television. This means that you have an enhanced picture that comes through with immense clarity with five times as much detail as normal television. SKY currently has over fifty high definition specific channels.
Sky Plus brought its customers the unique ability to record multiple programmes to its box with minimal effort. All the customer has to do is to click the red record button on the sky remote on the programme that they wish to record from the TV guide. You can also set up a series link that will record the entire series of a particular programme without you having to click the record button each time it's on.
Pausing, rewinding and fast forwarding live TV
Sky Plus comes with the ability to pause and rewind live TV as well as fast forwarding TV if it has already been rewound. This can come in extremely handy if you need to pop away from the TV for a minute and do not want to miss anything. The rewind button can come in very handy if you particularly want to rewatch something or, again, if you missed something for whatever reason.
Sky box office
Sky HD also comes with the ability to order Sky box office and view pay per view events. The box allows you to do this through the television and Sky box office also now provide their events in full HD. These can also be ordered over the phone.
As well as 3D, Sky HD boxes can now also come with a 3D package that is only compatible with 3D televisions. Sky now broadcast 3D sports channels as well as movie channels to its customers. The 3D package is available at extra cost and also comes with the same abilities as the normal SKY HD package.
