A review of Supernatural TV

We are all intrigued by the supernatural, the unexplained phenomena that we think may exist in our lives. Ghosts, devils and angels have all been shown on our TV screens for many years. Currently, Supernatural has been commissioned for a seventh series which will see the Winchester brothers once again take on the dark forces. Read on for some more in this article.

Buddy TV

Dean and Sam The brothers Winchester start out on a quest to find their father. Sam has just seen his girlfriend killed by the same Demon that had previously taken the life of their mother. Dean had followed their father's lead and had become a full-time demon hunter while Sam pursued an education. The brothers are brought together to find their father, although they do not get along for a good part of season one. The colt At the end of season one, we see that the brothers are reunited with their father who has in his possession a powerful weapon in the shape of a colt hand gun. This should aid them in killing the demon that killed their mother and Sam's girlfriend. CW Network The TV series Supernatural had been in development for ten years before the CW Network picked it up. After the first three episodes, it proved such a hit with audiences that the network commissioned the whole season and eventually, the Supernatural show was born.

Is it any good?

Actors The brothers are played by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. Both are good actors and add a touch of the buddy TV chemistry to the series. The effects that are used on the show are remarkable whilst they do not look all that good up against the like of the big blockbusters. The latter hold their own with the TV competition often outperforming most of them. Each episode has its own story line while an underlying plot strings all of the episodes of Supernatural together. In the first season, it was the brothers' desire and need to track down their missing father that underpinned the season. A final word Altogether, this show is amazing to watch. Often creepy and sometimes shocking, the acting is good, the effects are pretty amazing, the chemistry between the two lead actors is spot on and brings a laugh or two per episode for the viewer. Buy this for your collection, you will not be disappointed!

Review: Tom Waits' Hold On

The Tom Waits song 'Hold On' is taken from the 1999 album 'Mule Variations'. Although nowhere near as experimental or wilfully obtuse as some of his other work, both before and after, the song shows just what a good melody Waits is capable of writing. The song actually comes across as optimistic and reasonably sunny, but it also has a darker side.
