It is very secure, easy and convenient to use. Each time one is logging on to internet banking, a Login OTP is sent to the account holder’s cell-phone which is valid for one transaction only and expires after thirty minutes. A further Confirmation OTP is sent when loading a payment details for the first time or amending any recipient’s details. Information regarding all account transactions similar to situations in which money is deposited, is sent to the client’s e-mail and/or cell-phone. It saves time and the burden of having to go and join a queue at the banking hall. It is as good as having your own bank at home.
Negative points
It is prone to spam e-mails and spam websites, of which all FNB online users are encouraged not to open FNB links sent to their e-mails as well as using the correct FNB website.
