It has perfect beaches for both swimming and surfing and out of the water, there are great places to shop. There is an abundance of high-rise accommodation, restaurants and nightclubs. Broadbeach Broadbeach offers resort style accommodation and shopping opportunities with a café precinct full of pavement cafes and restaurants. Coolangatta resort This area is ideal for families. It is a place full of atmosphere and great beaches. It has a sunday market, a good selection of accommodation and plenty of bistros and cafés. Other areas of the Gold Coast Other popular places along the city’s waterfront and inland are Sanctuary Cove, Southport, Burleigh Heads, Mermaid Beach, Palm Beach, Stradbroke Island and Hinterlands.
