Overview
Students can earn certificates, Associate degrees and a small number of Bachelor degrees in 11 Majors. Online and weekend and evening classes increase its accessibility. There are numerous opportunities to become involved in extra-curricular activities. Middle Georgia College, located in Cochran Georgia, is a branch of the University System of Georgia offering a number of associates degrees and select baccalaureate degrees. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. There are approximately 2,000 students that attend the college, around 1,700 are residential and the rest commute. The college offers many programs, some which help students move on to a four year baccalaureate program, some are designed to help students enter the work force or go on to graduate programs furthering their education. All academic programs meet the requirement of the Core Curriculum, as approved by the University System of Georgia to ensure students meet the criteria for entrance into any of the schools in the system should they decide to transfer upon completion of their program. There are 11 Majors.

Academics

Programs offered Career Programs at the Certificate and Associates level in health services and aviation allowing students to gain employment upon completion of their program. The College Transfer Program leads to an Associates level degree allowing students to continue on to earn a Bachelor's degree. Majors can be chosen in several areas including Humanities, Sciences, and Pre-Professional areas including Pre-Engineering, a program that is
widely recognised for excellence. Students can also earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Aviation specialising in numerous areas such as Air Traffic Control and Airport Management among others. Additional Bachelor’s Degrees are offered in several areas including Criminal Justice and Education. Certain Associates Degrees and Certificates can be earned online, and the college also has Study Abroad Programs and Weekend and Evening classes.

Extra curricular activities

Extra curricular and other activities As a Division I Institution MCG has several athletic teams including Baseball, Men and Women’s Basketball, Men and Women’s Soccer and Women’s Fast Pitch. A student activities calendar is available online so students can attend a variety of social events such as dances, interactive game shows, and coffee houses showcasing various performers.
Final word There are also numerous clubs and organisations students can join including performing arts, photography, visual art, Student Government, creative writing, Honour Societies, aviation groups, Religious Organizations, and foreign language clubs among many others.
