With the rise in popularity of the internet has come many different ways of earning cash online, such as selling stuff, game streaming, stocks and shares, gambling, surveys, data entry and freelance writing. In this article, I will detail some of the ways how to earn cash from home online and look at the respective strengths and weaknesses.

To earn some money one can register as a user on a site where users can sell their items and then sell unwanted items. This can range from small items such as DVDs to getting cash for your car. There are many such sites on the internet, but prospective sellers would be well advised to use popular and reputable sites such as Amazon and Ebay. Users could, at least in theory, even do this as a permanent source income by buying cheap items and re-selling them for a higher price.
Gambling and stock and shares
Selling stuff is not a particularly sustainable way of living though, so if one wants a more reliable source of income, they are perhaps best off looking at other means of cash online. This can come from gambling or dealing in stocks and shares (same difference to some), which there are many ways of doing online. Notably, by playing poker online, which is what professional players spend much time doing and which even others can make a/some living out of. Such activities, however, while completely above board, are inherently risky and not totally reliable even for experts.

Creative arts and surveys and data entry

The internet provides almost limitless possibilities for people with a talent in one or more of the creative arts. Though it can be very difficult due to the competitive nature of the internet, money can be made out of this. For example, one can set up a site/blog where one can sell one’s pictures, photographs etc. and, if there are enough viewers, sell advertising space too. This is often done by game streamers who upload either live footage of themselves gaming or impressive highlight reels (to Youtube etc.) and then earn a cut of the subsequent advertising revenue.
