Male baldness depends on the presence of the hormone testosterone, which is partly responsible for female pattern baldness as well. Both male and female baldness are also known by the name alopecia. Other possible causes of baldness are: Certain diseases like hypothyroidism, large amounts of stress, crash diets, the use of certain medications and going through a traumatic experience.
Remedies for hair loss
Follow a healthy diet A diet rich in biotin, omega fatty acids, vitamins such as C, E and good quality protein may be a powerful hair remedy. Biotin is involved in hair growth and can be found in meat and egg yolks. Omega fatty acids are found in salmon or flaxseed oil and can prevent hair breakage. Vitamins C and E improve blood circulation in the scalp and can be found in citrus fruits and olive oil. Good quality protein is contained in eggs, chicken, yoghurt and red meat. Reduce stress Stress may play an important role in hair problems. Researchers from the university UCLA have discovered a chemical, which blocks a stress hormone and makes the hair of the head grow back. Nearly 100% of the subjects responded to the treatment. However, before you get excited you need to know that the study was conducted in mice and not in humans and clinical trials in humans may take about five years to be completed. However, this study does show that stress management has the potential of being an effective baldness treatment. Use some natural anti-hair loss treatments Some herbal treatments may help you treat baldness. For example, saw palmetto extract may be effective as a baldness remedy, because it blocks DHT that is responsible for male baldness. Some people also claim that spraying coffee on the bald areas of the scalp can be used as an alopecia cure.
