How to apply Just for Men hair colour

Just For Men offers a full line of products designed to keep gray hair colour with natural looking hair colours. Before you begin, ensure that you have the correct product and have all instructions ready to prevent any mishaps or unwanted results.

Before beginning the colouring process

It is a good idea to ask a doctor or physician, if you have any known allergic reactions. Just For Men's hair colour can cause itching, redness, burning or a combination of all three. Since these reactions can be severe, Just For Men requires a 48-hour allergy patch test on the inside of the elbow before applying the product to the scalp. Once Just for Men hair dye has been used the first time, apply whenever grey roots begin to grow. The 48-hour allergy patch test to apply - Wash the inside of the elbow (area where skin wrinkles) with mild soap and water, then dry. - Unscrew the caps from the natural colour developer bottle and colour base bottle and mix equally in a small quantity in a plastic bowl. - Using a cotton ball or cotton swab, apply the mixture to the inside of the elbow and permit to dry. - Over the next 48 hours, observe your test spot. If any itching, redness, burning or rashes occur, discontinue the use of Just For Men and seek appropriate medical attention.

Preparation and application

After your 48-hour allergy patch test revealed no severe reactions, you're ready to prepare for your hair colouring. Items needed to apply hair colour for men include: timer or clock, an old towels, an old t-shirt/pants, and damp paper towels. To begin preparation, ensure to wear old t-shirt/pants in case that product drips. Next, apply petroleum jelly around the hairline to reduce stains. Cover your counters with the old towels. By using the gloves provided, shake the colour base bottle and pour into the applicator bottle. Replace cap to applicator bottle and shake thoroughly to mix contents. Immediately, apply shaken contents to grayest parts of the hair for best results and massage product into hair. After application has been used, set timer or clock for five minutes. In shower, thoroughly rinse product from hair, shampoo (preferably with a hair dye shampoo) and rinse again. Dry your hair.
