How to apply for an MBA degree program at the University of West Georgia
If you wish to ‘go west’ for a Masters in Business Administration program, then University of West Georgia should be your destination. Accredited by AACSB, the MBA program is offered by ‘Richards College of Business’ at the University of West Georgia. This article explains the criteria and procedure for submitting an application for the MBA program at the University of West Georgia.
How to apply
1. Download the program checklist which states the admission requirements.
2. You should have the following graduate entrance exam scores:
GMAT:
The total GMAT score should be more than 450 with a core of 3.0 in the analytical writing section.
You must have either above 950 or above 1000 points based on the formula (950: 200 times the undergraduate GPA (4.0 system) + the GMAT score;
1000: 200 times the upper division GPA (4.0 system) + the GMAT score).
TOEFL:
For international students, the score must be above 550 (paper-based test) or above 213 (computer-based test).
3. Complete the online application form. Processing of your application starts once you pay a 30USD non-refundable application fee.
4. Arrange for the required recommendation letters (three minimum using the university’s official forms), resume, academic honour form, essays (topics usually include your interest in MBA and your career objectives), narrative/personal statements, writing samples, and one to two official transcripts from each college or university attended.The transcripts should be sent directly to the Georgia University.
5. International students must provide a course by course evaluation by an evaluation agency for providing a grade point average (this evaluation agency must be accredited by the National Association of Credential Evaluators [NACES]).
6. All the documents must be mailed in a sealed envelope to the University of West Georgia. Once admitted, all students need to provide proof of immunization. This should be sent directly to the Department of Health Services.
7. Check the application and immunization status online after approximately
10 days.
