How to get work selling Avon
Over five million women worldwide work for the Avon Company. Some sell Avon beauty products part-time, others make a full-time career selling Avon cosmetics. If you are looking for a new career or a way to make some extra income, this article will show you how to get work selling Avon.
Why work for Avon?
Avon has been selling make-up and beauty products for over 125 years. The Avon brand is one of the top three beauty brands in the UK, and it offers an easy way to start working for yourself.
Avon careers
The easiest way to start is as an Avon lady or as they are now known, representative. As an Avon representative, you earn around £1 for every £4 of goods that you sell. You need to pay approximately £15 to become a representative, but this is taken in two instalments. The payment covers your box of Avon make-up, beauty samples and products to help you to sell the Avon range. Alternatively, you could choose to become a Sales Leader and lead your own group of representatives. As a Sales Leader, you earn a commission on all the sales made by your representatives. You need to pay around £25 to become a Sales Leader, and this fee is deducted from your earnings. In return for the fee, Avon will send you a business pack to help to get you started in your new role, and allow you to have your own Avon website. You need to be a representative before you can become a Sales Leader. In both these roles, you will get support from the' my Avon' website and through specialist representative and sales leader magazines. You can also access an online forum, and the company will supply you with sales support materials.
How to apply
You can apply online via the Avon website Avon.uk.com. Do note, however, that you need to pay your registration fee of around £15 when applying, but you do have 14 days in which to change your mind and to get your money back. Alternatively, keep a look out in the local paper as Sales Leaders often recruit new representatives in their area. One advantage of going down this route is that the Sales Leader will help you to find your own sales area and can guide you through the early stages of your new career.
