Immigrant visa classes - skilled workers, investor, entrepreneur, and self-employed.
Skilled workers and professionals class To qualify for this program, you have to show proof that you can financially support yourself and your dependents once you have landed in Canada. You would also be awarded points based on your educational attainment. The more education you have, the better it is for you. Moreover, your profession should be included in the list of skilled occupation of the Embassy. In addition, you must at least have one year of related work experience to qualify. Your application would also have a better chance of being approved if you can show proof that you have work waiting for you in the country. Investor, entrepreneur, and self-employed class Investor If you are planning on emigrating to Canada under this program, you must have a net worth of at least CAD $1.6 million, have considerable managerial experience, and must be willing to make a passive investment of at least CAD $800,000. Entrepreneur To be eligible for the entrepreneur program, you must have a minimum net worth of CAD$300,000, must be willing and able to invest, put up or acquire a business in Canada which can generate employment in the country. Self-employed class To be eligible for the program, you must be willing and able to financially support yourself and any dependents through self-employed income as an artist, athlete or farmer. Some individuals who have qualified for this program as artists, were helped by letters of recommendations that they secured from cultural and artistic groups in Canada.
Immigrant visa classes - family and refugee
Family class For you to qualify for this program, you must have a relative in Canada who is a citizen or a landed immigrant who is willing to sponsor your entry to the country. You can be sponsored by your spouse, grandparents, or common-law partner. Refugee class If you feel that your life is in danger in your country due to your religion, race, gender, political or social affiliation, then you can apply as a refugee in the country.
