In ancient Rome, they made soap with goat tallow and salt to make it hard as well as with olive oil, in Pompeii, a ruin of a soap factory using lye was discovered. Milk container soap dish

-Clean out an empty cardboard milk container thoroughly. You don't want to risk the risk of milk spoiling on the cardboard. -Cut out the bottom of the milk container. -Take four rubber bands and stretch them across the cardboard, spacing them evenly apart. -Take four more rubber bands and stretch them across in the other direction to create a grid. -Add interest to the soap dish by using different coloured rubber bands to create design. Try using more rubber bands than just four per side.

Onion soap holder

-Clean out a mesh onion bag. -Check the bottom of the bag. If the bottom is sharp, melt it a little with a cigarette lighter to make it softer. -Open the bag and put a bar of soap inside, with the narrow end facing downward. -Tie a knot directly after the bar of soap in the bag, securing it in place. -Tie a loop on the other end of the bag so that you can hang it in the shower. -Use the soap in the same way as normally. The onion bag will act as an exfoliate for your skin. -While you are not using the soap, hang the bag. The soap will dry. This is a benefit, since otherwise, the soap could remain wet and melt. By hanging the soap in its bag, if will dry, and therefore, it will last longer. Soap holders like these are indeed popular in Japan (though, they might not be made of mesh onion bags). Enjoy your soap in its new shower holder.
