History of the centre
The fitness centre was founded by Mike Kershaw, the former British champion in body building, and former Mr. Universe Junior in 1982. Today, it is still successfully run by Mike alongside his wife. Over his time, he has worked to ensure that he recruited the friendliest staff, who works quickly to get to know the clients and their needs.
Fitness packages

For those wanting to build-up their muscle, they have stocked a variety of Olympic plates loading machines for free weights, and claim to have the largest free weights facility for miles around. Aerobics and spinning classes As for the classes, they have rooms dedicated especially to aerobics, and spinning classes with the aerobics room accommodating up to 40 people. Sauna on-site After a tough work out, both men and women can enjoy a shower or a stay in the sauna on-site. Refreshment and snack area Moreover, to make sure that you are energised after your work-out, they have a refreshment and snack area, loaded with energy drinks as well as hot drinks and fruit juices.

Opening and closing hours At the time of writing (04.07.11), the opening hours are from 6.30 AM to 10PM Monday to Thursday, 6.30 to 9.30 PM on Fridays, and 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM Saturdays and Sundays, Therefore, there is a time for anyone, with any kind of schedule to go to Fitness Connection. Classes available The classes they offer are: Bums, Legs and Tums, Step Spinning, Body
Conditioning, Body 2 Max, Pilates, Fit for Life (for over 50s), Circuit Training,
Aerobics, Body Sculpting and Yoga. You must ensure to book ahead of your preferred class, as places can fill up quickly.
