Shangri-La Penang: Review and rate

The Shangri-la company has three luxury venues in the city of Penang, Malaysia: the Golden Sands resort, Rasa Sayang resort and spa and the Traders Hotel. All three specialise in offering luxury accommodation in one of Malaysia's most visited tourist areas.

Golden Sands

Rooms Both rooms and suites are available at the Golden Sands resort.
Guests staying in rooms enjoy the use of a range of audio-technical features, elegant en-suites and complimentary tea and coffee facilities, while travellers can also unwind before sea and hillside views.
Travellers staying in suites all afford an imperious sea view, while suites include separate dining and living rooms, marble bathrooms and bedrooms. Food and drink A pair of cafes and lounges await guests at the Golden Sands, while hotel guests can also utilise many Batu Ferringgi bars and eateries. Leisure and recreation Youngsters staying at the Golden Sands can avail themselves of the resort's air-conditioned adventure zone, with a selection of drop slides, modern play equipment and a game zone. While the kids burn off their excess energy, adults can unwind in the resort's health club, with a range of spa treatments on offer.
The Batu Ferringgi beach is just minutes walk from the resort for the whole family to enjoy.

Rasa Sayang

Rooms Guest rooms at the Rasa Sayang Resort allow guests a superlative view over the sea, garden and hills across rooms and suites.
All Rasa Sayang accommodation has a truly Malay flavour, featuring wood carvings inspired by Minangkabau. The hotel's premier room is the Presidential suite, where visitors enjoy 24-hour use of their own personal butler. Food and drink Three restaurants, two bars and a cafe are on hand to cater for guests' every food and drink requirement, serving a wide range of Asian-influenced cuisine. Leisure and recreation Those looking to relax can visit the Chi spa, where a rich and varied range of treatments is sure to leave you feeling completely at ease and peace.
Travellers looking to get active can enjoy a host of water and land sports, all within the walking range of the resort.

Traders Hotel

Rooms Here, visitors can stay in either rooms or suites, all of which offer breath-taking views of the city skyline and Penang bridge.
Traders Hotel decor is a blend of local flavours and modern-day technological advances.
