What to avoid on the Walt Disney World map

Walt Disney World is home to world-class theme parks, quality hotels and a large number of great dining options. However, it's important to know that not everything at the resort is worth visiting.

At the parks

Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Stitch's Great Escape, located in the Tomorrowland area on right of a map of Magic Kingdom used to be a fan favourite under its former name 'Alien Encounter'. However, with its new Stitch cartoon theme, it has quickly become the least liked attraction at Walt Disney World, getting poor reviews from nearly every guest who visits. A definite miss in the Tomorrowland area which features great attractions such as Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. EPCOT Journey into the Imagination with Figment, hosted in the Imagination Pavilion area of Future World is another attraction which has lost its popularity over time and after a number of refurbishments. Now on to its third incarnation, Journey into the Imagination lacks the charm of its former incarnations and simply isn't worth a visit when on a tight schedule touring the parks. Disney's Animal Kingdom Chester and Hester's DinoRama, located in DinoLand U.S.A, to the right of the Animal Kingdom map, has been given negative reviews since it first opened. The area features two major attractions, TriceraTops Spin, a clone of the popular Dumbo attraction, with a Dinosaur theme and Primeval Whirl, a Wildmouse style coaster. Both attractions are similar to what can be found at regional theme parks and county fairs. Therefore, they are not worth a visit. Disney's Hollywood Studios When Disney's Hollywood Studios first opened at Walt Disney World, the park was also an active movie studio, and the Studio Backlot Tour was an integral part of the theme park experience. Now Disney's Hollywood Studios no longer works as a functioning studio and the Studio Backlot Tour has been cut down to the point where it is no longer worth a ride, with only a small handful of interesting props and memorabilia from some famous movies.

Outside the parks

Downtown Disney DisneyQuest, located to the far left on a Downtown Disney map, was designed to be an interactive theme park featuring small and interactive versions of famous Walt Disney World attractions. However, the attractions at DisneyQuest have quickly become dated and the experience is far from being worth the price of admission, especially considering the fact that there are four world class theme parks on property.
