York Minster

York Archaeological Trust had excavated eight tons of rubble and removed 40,000 artefacts. A replica of Viking city was then created on this same archaeological site. The JORVIK Viking Centre was formed and has been entertaining visitors for 25 years.
The National Railway Museum This is a spectacular warehouse of polished, railway treasures. See some of the famous names in trains such as The Japanese Bullet and a replica of Stephensons Rocket. View Royal Carriages, conservation work on The Flying Scotsman, live demonstrations, workshops and special events.
