Jobs with the NHS
Given that 90% of radiographers are employed by the National Health Service (NHS), a good place to start would be the NHS’ job website. It can be found at Jobs.nhs.uk and finding a radiography job is quick and easy.
Register
Firstly it’s a good idea to register as a member. This will enable to you to search and apply for jobs, get jobs alerts by email and get reminders of when application deadline dates are.
Search
Once a member, simply locate the ‘Quick search’ section on the right-hand side of your screen and type in ‘radiographer’. You should then find a screen full of every radiography vacancy the NHS has to offer.
Job alert service
If the job you are looking for is not there, register for the job alert service and you will receive an email when a suitable vacancy has become available.

Labmed
Labmed (Labmedrecruit.co.uk) recruit on behalf of the NHS and other healthcare organisations. To find the radiography jobs advertised, you must first click on the link entitled ‘Divisions’ on the menu bar. You will be presented with a three-column list of healthcare professions.
Click ‘Radiography and Radiotherapy’ which can be found top of the third column. You will then be able to further specify what discipline you are looking for work in, with options including, ‘diagnostic radiographer jobs’, ‘cardiac radiographer jobs’ and ‘radiotherapy jobs’ amongst others. Then, on the right-hand side of your screen you will find a job search area where you can specify details such as location and contract type.
British Medical Journal
An alternative job site comes from BMJ, the team behind the British Medical Journal which was launched in 1840. The organisation has their own job site at Careers.bmj.com. It is simple to navigate. Click ‘Jobs’ on the horizontal menu bar and then click ‘search all jobs’ where you will be able to enter a keyword and start searching. As this is typical with most job sites, you are also able to get job alerts to your inbox.
