There are a host of UK websites which exist to provide job hunting services to people in the North East. Local government jobs
Local government and the public sector still remains a significant employer in the North East of England, with each of the various councils in the area offering an online jobs service, available from their official websites. Local press
Local newspapers remain an excellent source of opportunities for job seekers, with the North East having a range of town and city-based papers which provide good coverage for the entire region. The largets of these papers are the Evening Chronicle, which serves Newcastle-upon-Tyne, the Sunderland Echo and the Northern Echo, the latter of which covers the major town of Darlington. These papers all have online editions. There are also a number of smaller newspapers which serve the smaller towns of the North East and advertise job vacancies.
