A guide to Atlantis in the Bahamas

The Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas is a unique resort for many reasons. It offers guests world class dining, access to a Marine Park, and even is home to one of the most expensive hotels in the world. It certainly is a place worth visiting.

Visit Atlantis

The Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas, is perhaps one of the most easily visually recognizable resorts in the world. This luxury resort is located on Paradise Island, and first opened its doors in 1998, and should be at the top of the list for people who are thinking of taking Bahama vacations.

Lodging and Amenties

Accommodations
Because Atlantis is a unique ocean-themed destination, it should come as no surprise that the accommodations match the ambience as well. Both the Beach Tower and the Coral Tower exude a laid-back Caribbean feel, while the suites in The Cove are for people looking for a contemporary yet luxurious experience. At The Reef, guests can stay in the newest building at Atlantis, which consists completely of suites, and at the Royal Towers, which contains the “Bridge Suite”, guest can stay at one of the most expensive hotel rooms in the world if their wallet allows. Paradise Island’s Aquaventure Water Park
Unlike the majority of the other mega-resorts in the Caribbean, Atlantis is not an all-inclusive resort, but instead, it is a full service resort. This meant that guests to the resort have full access to Paradise Island’s Aquaventure Water Park. The park is situated on 141 acres, and allows guests to have an unrivalled, one of a kind experience. There is high-speed water slide, a mile-long lazy river, 20 swimming areas, 11 swimming pools, rock climbing, and a kid’s water-play fort, amongst other things. Dining
Currently, at Atlantis, there are 21 restaurants and 19 bars and lounges that offer its guests a wide array of meal options including quick eats like burgers and French fries to fine dining options at several different locations including from renowned Chef Bobby Flay’s award-winning Mesa Grill. Although guests are not required to purchase meal plans, they are available, and certainly worth taking into consideration. There are two different dining plans, and they offer a full breakfast and dinner at some of the most popular restaurants. Due to high demand, they must be booked a minimum of three days prior to departure because they are not available for purchase once on the island. They also must be purchased for a minimum of 2-nights, and they have to span the duration of the guest’s stay.
