Admissions

Procedures
Students wanting to enroll at Edgecombe Community College need to complete an application form which is then handed into the Student Services office at one of the two campuses. In addition, they also need to submit their high school transcript of GED scores or official college transcript if they are transfering from another college. Some courses require students to sit placement tests. If students have taken ACT or the SAT, they can use these scores instead of the placement tests. Students can also ask the college for interviews with counselors if they are not sure of what type of degree programme to enroll on. Financial aid
Financial assistance at Edgecombe is available in the form of loans, grants and work-study programmes to those who are eligible. The college recommends that its students fill out an FAFSA form as soon as they decide to enroll on a course so that their financial aid is not delayed.
