Description
Ladera Resort is situated on a ridge 1,100 feet above sea level with views over the Caribbean Sea and the volcanic Piton Mountains, a UNESCO world heritage site. The Resort opened in November 1992, has been given several awards and been mentioned in numerous publications including Conde Nast Traveller,
Travel + Leisure, Forbes Life, Caribbean Travel and Life, and Brides Magazine just to name a few.
Accommodation
Ladera, St Lucia is comprised of nine villas and 23 suites, each with its own private plunge pool. The architecture of the resort is distinctive, based on the relaxed Caribbean way of life.
Accommodation design
Caribbean timber is used in the buildings, with the model being one of the luxurious treehouse living. The accommodation design allows for unobstructed views, but is designed to provide the utmost for security and privacy, despite the open plan design.
Suites
Of the 23 suites, eight are called Dream suites, and are built over two levels. They are larger than the other suites, and make use of the local woods, tiles and stonework from St Lucian artisans.
Complimentary services
The complimentary services offered by the resort include a complimentary daily breakfast, beach shuttles, Wi-Fi, board games, snorkel gear and portable DVD players for use in rooms.
Activities
This St Lucia Resort is situated in an area, with a wide variety of things to do. The island of St Lucia is laid back, and is the ideal place to relax. It is possible to indulge in Ladera's spa treatments without even leaving the suite or villa.
Spa and related treatments
The spa is called Ti Kai Pose, which in the local Patois language means
"little house of rest". There is a garden gym, mineral soak tubs, and also the chance to have a massage outside in the lush greenery surrounding the spa.
Activities
St Lucia itself has plenty to offer, including cookery classes, mountain or rainforest hiking, glass bottom boat tours, golf, horseback riding, sailing, snorkelling, fishing and dolphin spotting. This list is just some of what is available on this small, but diverse island.
