Skydiving with Skyline
Experience the exhilaration of a 10,000 free fall at 120mph with parachuting organisation Skyline UK. Offering tandem skydiving, static line and sponsored charity jumps, there are more than 20 destinations across the UK. It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity - or more if you’re an adrenaline junkie – and with safety precautions in place, there are major risk factors involved, however . As a customer, you would hope to have the best possible experience and the reassurance that you have chosen the right company to put your trust in.
Available opportunities
Skyline has 14 years' of experience as one of the UK’s largest parachuting and skydiving organisations. The tandem jump would be ideal for first time jumpers, who are strapped to a professional instructor, with the training and jump completed in the same day. The jump enables you to free fall from two miles in the air, and with an instructor to guide your landing, this altitude is not possible to reach statically unless you have taken part in adequate training. The static jump made at 3,000 feet enables you to jump individually after completing a course running over a two-day period. The ‘static line’ refers to the cable which automatically opens the parachute as soon as you exit the aircraft, and while this does not let you have such a high-altitude experience, the certificate you will receive is one recounting your achievement - and first step towards becoming a qualified instructor if you wish to. Skyline also offer charity jumps with a certain amount of sponsorship money raised, giving you the motivation to make the jump, a good cause to benefit from it, and gift vouchers. Two skydiving courses are also available to allow qualification, with the Accelerated Free fall Level 1 from 15,000 feet and the Accelerated Free fall Complete certificate. You can jump at a number of UK locations, including Cambridge and Maidstone airfields in the South. Cornwall, Whitchurch, Durham, Errol and Coleraine airfields also offer the experience, among others.
