A review of the Marriott Edinburgh

The Marriott Edinburgh is an ideal location for Edinburgh weekend breaks or business travellers. It can be found on Glasgow Road. It is close to the city centre and Edinburgh International Airport, so it is the ideal place to stay whilst you are on an Edinburgh weekend break or if you are in the city for business. This article will provide a review of the Marriott Edinburgh.

The hotel

In 2008, a £2.5M refurbishment took place to modernise the hotel. The lobby, bedrooms, meeting rooms, bar and restaurant were part of this revamp which resulted in a stylish and modern facility. There are 241 rooms on four floors along with four suites and ten meeting rooms. Rooms Each room is air conditioned with an individual climate control. The beds are equipped with luxurious bedding including down comforters, custom duvets and cotton-rich linens. Facilities An alarm clock is provided along with iron and ironing board and electrical adapters, which serve to make you feel at home. Additionally, business travellers can work in their room as desk level electrical outputs. A telephone with voice mail and speaker phone capabilities are also provided. Executive Rooms For a small additional fee, the visitors can upgrade to an Executive Room which comes with exclusive access to the Executive Lounge.

The perfect choice for business or pleasure

Business Marriott Edinburgh is equipped with ten meeting rooms, four of which have a high speed Internet access. The hotel’s business centre offers copying, printing, and secretarial services. There are also ten conference rooms which accommodate up to 300 guests and the hotel has free on-site parking for the same number of guests. Tourism With world renowned events like the Royal Highland Show and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival taking place nearby, the hotel is an ideal location for tourists. Edinburgh is also a historic city. Edinburgh Castle, which houses the Scottish Crown Jewels, is only five miles away from the hotel and Palace Of Holyroodhouse, which is the Queen's official residence in Scotland, is within six miles of the hotel. A local bus service regularly runs from the hotel to the city centre and the train station in Haymarket is less than three miles away. Final word The Marriott hotel Edinburgh is one of the best four star hotels in Edinburgh.
The facilities are designed to accommodate both business and tourist needs. Moreover, the surrounding city has more than enough local attractions to entertain excited tourists or weary business travellers.
