All about: South Coast Winery, California

The South Coast Winery Resort is located 50 miles north of San Diego and 90 miles south-east of Los Angeles and is set in the heart of Temecula's Wine Country, Southern California. This article explores everything about the winery.

The wines' selection

Overview Whether you attend special events, enjoy spa treatments or tour the winery, a stay at South Coast Winery will definitely be a special one. Variety The grapes produced in this area benefit from the rich Southern California soil and the abundant Temecula Valley sun. Under the South Coast Winery label, you'll find a variety of affordable whites, reds and rosés revealing a lively fruit. Carter Estate Reserve wines are produced from select lots of varietals grown in the Southern California Temecula Wine Country Estate Vineyards, are matured in the best European oak barrels and released in limited quantities. Tasting Room The winery staff share the results of their work in the winery Tasting Room, a large room with rustic beamed ceilings and Tuscan decór.
The tasting room walls show an original painting: a mural of the entire Southern California Temecula Valley Wine Country and surrounding mountains.
Sculptures and artwork represent the area's wildlife. No matter how much of a novice or connoisseur you are, the friendly staff is there to introduce you to wines that have won over 1,000 regional and international awards.

Vineyards, villas, dining and spa

Vineyards To create the wide variety of wines, the grapes are selected from several different vineyards: - Wild Horse Peak Mountain Vineyards, planted in 1996 in a mountainous area cut by deep canyons.
- Curran Family Vineyards — Temecula, planted in 1982 right up the street from Huis Vineyards off Calle Cabernet.
- Huis Vineyards — Temecula, planted in 1994 and located off Calle Contendo.
- Lopez Ranch Vineyards — Rancho Cucamonga, planted in 1880s to 1910 Villas The resort has 76 spacious villas with no common walls. Relax in your own private villa measuring in at a full 575 to 1,150 sq feet, complete with a fireplace, soothing spa tub and a quiet terrace. Dining The Vineyard Rose restaurant offers a chic ambiance combined with a warm hospitality. The food is delicious, the service excellent and the rates reasonable. An extensive wine list, showing vintages from South Coast, the region and around the globe compliments the dishes. Spa The GrapeSeed spa offers a total vintage relaxation, so the visitors can re-energise their body, mind and soul with various blended treatments. For an in-depth look, visit Southcoastwinery.com.
