All about fun party games

There are many fun party games that can be played depending on what kind of party you are hosting. A fun activity or game list for a child's party will be different than the right type of activity ideas for an adult group. Therefore, you should decide on your guest list before you plan your dinner game or game party idea. This article gives you some tips for great games to play.

Kids games

At kids parties, there are some classic games that are often played. One example is pin the tail on the donkey, where an image of a donkey without a tail is hung up. The children are blindfolded and are given the donkey's tail, which has tape or is sticky on the end. Each child gets a chance to try to put the tail on the image of the donkey, and the child who gets closest is the one who wins the game. Musical chair
Musical chair is another great party game for children. This involves setting aside a number of chairs, with one less chair than there are party guests. Turn on some music, and let the kids move around the chairs. When the music turns off, everyone needs to take a seat. The child who is left without a chair is out. Take away another chair, and repeat until there is only one child left sitting.

Special occasion events

When a party is for a special event, for instance to celebrate a wedding, you can create fun themed games for the party. For example, if the party is to celebrate someone getting married, plan a game where everyone creates a wedding dress out of toilet paper. The group who makes the best toilet paper dress, as decided by an impartial judge, wins.

Adult games

For a general purpose adult party, there are also plenty of games to play. One option is a murder mystery dinner party where each of the guests is given a role to play. One of those guests is the "murderer", and the other guests have to try to figure out, through the use of clues throughout the night, who the murderer is and how the murder took place.
