Buying Callaway Big Bertha golf clubs
Golf is the sport where players hit the small balls with different ‘clubs’ (different ones are favoured for different shots) in an attempt to get the ball into a hole. Due to the fact that at higher levels the game can be a ‘matter of inches’, golf companies are forever trying to manufacture the best clubs to give their users the literal and figurative ‘inch’. Callaway are one such company and one of their best regarded clubs is the Callaway Big Bertha, which I will detail in this article.

Callaway
What Callaway does Callaway is a golf company that deals in nearly all aspects of the game; they sell nearly all golf equipment, research cutting edge golf technology, offer tips for the game and develop their brand through sponsorship and association with major golf events and players. Callaway’s ideals and mission statement They claim to have ‘led the game in innovation and premium technology for all golfers’ for nearly the last three decades and that their process is to ‘challenge all thinking, push all limits and ask questions’. Their motto is ‘engineering performance for you’.
The Big Bertha and where to find it
The Big Bertha clubs are irons – clubs which have a flat angled face and a shorter shaft. On the general scale of clubs with great touch, yet little power to power, yet little ‘forgiveness’ (margin for error), irons occupy the middle-ground. They are typically used for shots approaching the green or from difficult lies such as the rough, trees or base of hills.
Callaway claims the Big Bertha is extremely capable at this; ‘for the player looking for a solid, game improvement iron that provides a proven combination of forgiveness and styling Big Bertha irons remain the undisputed leader’. User reviews also generally agree with this conviction.
Where to find the Big Bertha
This Callaway club was released and popular in the mid 00’s. Due to Callaway’s constant desire to push golf technology to the limits (and fund their bank balance) though, they have since released many new ranges and their current range does not include the Big Bertha. This type of club can, however, still be found on the Callaway website (Callawaygolf.com) in the pre-owned section, in addition to many other golf sites. They are also available in golf/sports stores and their websites and may be found on online retailing businesses such as eBay.
