Gills Cruises overview

History
Gills Cruises originally started out as bakery in 1953. Robert Gill, the company founder, later on branched out to the travel business, initially offering train tickets. Business was brisk and soon Gill went full time selling travel products and services. The company's offerings eventually grew and by 1957, it was starting to offer cruises and other holiday packages. In 1989 Robert Gill decided to retire from the company. He then picked his son Alistair to take control over operations. In 2005 Gill's Travel was renamed to Gill's Cruise Centre, focusing on cruise holiday packages. Awards and Recognition
