How to sell a timeshare
Before looking around to find out how to sell a timeshare, timeshare owners will already have devoted considerable time and money in finding out what is a timeshare and how to buy it. Therefore, they are familiar with the rules of timeshare vacations and timeshare rental. They also know the timeshare RCI products and other companies quite intimately. Let's take a look at where to list timeshares for sale.

Forums
There are two basic types of timeshare forums. The first one is a general discussion forum about timeshares like Timeshareforums.com or TUG (Tug1.net or tugbbs.com). These forums aren't affiliated to or focused on a single specific timeshare company and buyers and sellers can talk about and buy or sell timeshare weeks. The other type is a timeshare forum meant for timeshare owners of a specific company like Disney (Disboards.com) or Wyndham (Wyndhamowners.org).
Company
Some companies that sell a timeshare not only allow resale, but they also buy it back themselves. This doesn't make it easy for them to sell new timeshares, but there's a huge market for resale timeshares that just can't be ignored. That's why they buy it back at a lower price from customers and sell it anew. However, you should note that a timeshare bought on resale may not allow access to all of a company's resorts. Disney, for example, restricts access to certain timeshare vacations to those who have purchased new timeshares directly from the company.
Classifieds
Priced correctly and placed in the right media publication or website, a classified ad is just as effective as a timeshare forum. Many people make a living out of buying and selling timeshares on sites like Craigslist. You should also note that there are rules and regulations about posting timeshare ads on Craigslist. There are plenty of timeshare scams and scammers on such sites, and a majority of offers won't be as good as promised. Exercise extreme caution when doing a transaction with someone who responds to a classified offer, whether it is as a buyer or a seller.
Travel sites
A timeshare is basically a travel product, and it can be sold easily on a travel site or forum. However, it has to be placed right in a section of a website that deals with travellers and vacationers looking for a stay in the same place as the timeshare. For example, a Florida timeshare ad or posting should be placed on a site that offers guides or booking for Florida destinations.
