How to win at craps?
While there are craps strategies and bets that offer straight up or close odds, you are still playing against the house. An irrefutable rule in life is that, over time, the the house ALWAYS wins. That said, playing craps can be very enjoyable, and the odds it offers are fair. Below is an overview of the rules of craps and the odds each bet pays. Knowing them will help improve a player win ratios.

The rules
To begin
The shooter must bet at least the table minimum on the Pass or Don't Pass line.
The shooter must hit the opposite wall of the table with both dice for the throw to count.
Understanding each round
- A round has two phases. If the shooter's first roll is a 7 or 11, all pass line bets win, and the shooter continues.
- If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, they "crap out". This pays off all Don't Pass line bets and ends the round.
- If a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 is rolled, it becomes the "point". If the shooter rolls the point, the Pass line wins. If the shooter rolls a 7 first, the Pass line loses and the round ends.
Should moves be clockwise or anti-clockwise?
The game is played with the right to throw moving clockwise around the table after each round.
A player can pass up the right to throw if they choose.
Odds
Pass Line bets
Pass line bets pay even money on a 7 or 11. If a point is made, the pass line pays 2:1 on 4 or 10, 3:2 on 5 or 9, and 6:5 on 6 or 8.
Don't Pass Line
As the name implies, this is the opposite of a pass line bet. You win on a 2 or 3 and tie on a 12. Once a point is established, you lose if the point is made and win if a 7 is rolled first. Payout outcome: Even
Place bet
This bet is placed after a point is determined. If the point is made, you win. if a 7 is rolled first, you lose. Odds: 4 or 10: 9:5, 5 or 9: 7:5, 6 or 8: 7:6.
Field bets
One roll only: 5, 6, 7, and 8 lose. 2 pays 2:1. 12 pays 3:1. Other bets pay even money.
Proposition bets
These are one roll bets.
Any craps 8:1
Any 7 5:1
11 16:1
Ace Deuce 16:1
2 or 12 30:1
Hard way
Pays if a number is rolled the hard way (by rolling a pair). 4 and 10 8:1, 6 and 8 10:1
Overall house odds: 2%
