New Christian Music: The facts

New Christian Music is a venture which aims to provide a platform for wider publicity for Christians artists making gospel music. Founded by Christian author, journalist and broadcaster Paul Davis, who was also a pastor, its primary focus being the pressing of CDs of Christians' songs.

The Cost of NCMdisc

Overview
A standard booking with NCM costs approximately GB£195 (US$310), although there are premium bookings available for £50 more.
These premium bookings will allocate the applying artist's song a higher place on the final CD's running order.
There are also advertising spaces on the cover of the CD available for prices ranging from £35 to £100. Full refunds can be given in the event of NCM not using the song on the final CD, which is sent out to, according to NCM's official website, to:
" A list of 450-500 DJs, journalists, agents and other influential people in the media and music business throughout Europe and the world."

The service

Package
The standard package entitles the artist to three copies of the CD for themselves, as well as the CD being sent out to many key music industry figure. Full details of the song are included on the sleeve, allowing those who use the music for worship together to see exactly what they are listening to. The song will also receive automatic radio play on approximately 360 worldwide radio stations via the NCM Radio Show. Songs and artists
Artists will also be provided with feedback every month or two months in order to keep them abreast of what media insiders apparently think of their song. Every week, NCM compiles four charts which allow artists to gauge media reaction to their work.
All the songs are included automatically in the Euro chart, but could be categorised into other genres at NCM's discretion.

The New Christian Music Radio Show, produced by the Good News United Kingdom Broadcasting Association, a two-hour per week show, is syndicated to over 330 radio stations throughout the world, though mainly in the United Kingdom and Europe.
It is available in 'stand alone' 30 minute segments which feature the music on the discs issued by NCM.
