Review of Disney wonder cruise ship vacations

The Disney Cruise Line´s ‘Wonder’ debuted in 1999. It is considered a premium choice for families with children. However, couples and singles are discovering that the Disney Wonder offers much for their holiday also. Walt Disney Cruises checks demographics of their guests prior to boarding and seats those with similarities together.

About Disney Wonder

Itineraries Each sailing will begin as Mickey Mouse and his entourage greet each passenger embarking. Upon departure from the port, the ship´s horn sounds, ‘When you wish upon a star’. The Disney Wonder departs from the west coast of the United States, leaving from either Los Angeles, Seattle or Vancouver heading towards Alaska, The Pacific coast, Mexican Riviera or Hawaii. Any cruise ship vacation aboard the Disney Wonder allows a passenger to add a few days more and visit Disneyland California. This is considered as the Disneyland Cruise package. Staterooms
With families in mind, the staterooms consist of inside, ocean view, balconies and suites are larger with ample storage space. The ship holds approximately 2400 passengers
Dining Dining is based on rotation, and passengers will eat in different venues each evening. Meals for breakfast and lunch are located in the self-service Topsider Buffet. There is also a 24-hour coffee station for all guests. Dining is available for adults only. This is a must-have reservation venue and smart semi-formal dress is appropriate.
Spa services Offering a diverse spa menu of massages, facials, and well-being, the salon contains a man-made "Tropical Rain Forest". The pricing of treatments are compatible with spas on other cruise lines. Entertainment
The main show theatre offers a variety of entertainment with good sight lines. Shows can be as elaborate as Disney´s Broadway and West End shows.

Positive points

Benefits -There is never a lack of deck space or chairs surrounding the three age-specific swimming pools, including adults only. -The crew and staff take pride to be of service to the guest and go the extra step to be friendly and make guests feel not only welcome but also special. -The programs for children, which are educational, are a highlight and allows other members of a family ample quality time alone.

Negative points

Drawbacks -Late seating as a dining choice will be disastrous with a child under eight. By dessert time, they will be falling asleep at the table. -There may be Disney Wonder Cruise deals, however, the average price per cruise is more expensive than other major cruise lines. -For singles and couples only, booking a cruise holiday while school is out will be packed with children with limited quiet areas. -The buffet facility for lunch contains extremely long queues. -There are no casinos on-boards which are available on other cruise lines.
