What to look for When buying an All inclusive cruise

When planning cruising holidays, be sure to look for the best cruise offers including vacations that are all inclusive. Although claimed to be all inclusive, there are usually add ons that most vacationers end up paying for. Here is what to look for when planning a cruise vacation.

All Inclusive cruise packages

When booking a cruise vacation, most cruise lines cover a cabin, meals, beverages, entertainment and on-board activities within the package price. However, there are many additional costs that can be accrued. One is the type of beverages included. Although drinks such as coffee, tea, juice and milk are pretty standard, most cruise lines charge for both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. An exception to this is Disney Cruise Line which does offer sodas for free at the beverage station on Deck 9. Shore excursions are another additional cost. These can be purchased in advance from individual vendors or through the cruise line. Examples of excursions include city tours, ocean adventures such as snorkelling and scuba diving, trips to ancient ruins or a multitude of other local activities.

Vacation cruise packages

If traveling with children, due to the fact that most cruise lines are now family-friendly, most offer some type of childcare facility which is included in the cost of the cruise. These are available during certain times of the day at no charge. If needing childcare past the normal operating hours, an additional charge will be added to your account. A very enticing feature of a cruise is the spa. Here, one can get pampered with a massage, body wrap or facial, to name but a few. As relaxing as this may sound, it's important to know that spa treatments are not included in the price of the vacation. They need to be purchased separately. When planning a cruise holiday, most people don't think to factor in the cost of tipping. With most cruise lines, a service charge is automatically added to one's account. This would include tipping to the cabin steward and dining staff. Even though one can get by sticking to the amenities included in an all-inclusive cruise, most people choose additional options which need to be paid for separately. Before booking a cruise, it's best to check with each line individually to find out what their current policies are.
