Where can I find an Apple shop in UK?

Apple Inc. is an internationally recognised company that markets electronic goods, well known for its advances in the technological world. Since its discovery in 1976, the business has branched out across the globe, and now has over 320 stores worldwide as of early June 2011. This article will be analysing where to find Apple branches within the UK.

History and future of Apple stores in the UK

Origins Apple first opened its doors to UK customers back in 2004, making it the 2nd destination outside the US where the firm had planted its flag – Japan being the 1st. As of June 2011, Apple had 29 outlets across the UK, with plans to make Reading in Berkshire the location of store number 30. Three others are planned for the UK in 2011 also, according to online sources. All Apple stores sell the company’s latest products including the MacBook family – rival of PCs.

Locations of apple stores

The area of Greater London plays host to the most Apple stores in the UK. It had a total of 5 outlets as of June 2011. Being the highest populated county in England, it wouldn’t be a surprise that Apple products are on high demand. Locations for these stores include Brent Cross, White City, and Regent Street. Central London is also home to the largest Apple store in the world, situated in Covent Garden. Further to the south of England, 3 of Apple’s retail establishments can be found scattered along the coast in cities Brighton, Southampton, and Exeter. Along the west coast lie 5 more of Apple’s famous laminate-floored stores. Some of these are towards the South which are in locations Greenhithe, Grays, and Norwich. And further north in Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead. Shoppers from more central regions of England may be closer to stores in Leicester, Birmingham, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Solihull. The Cambridge Apple store, located in the Grand Arcade Shopping Centre, was the company’s 15th UK outlet. Leicester's store is the latest edition of these 5, opening back in September 2008. 3 Stores can be found around the Bristol/Bath region of the southwest also. Customers looking to buy Apple laptops and other merchandise in Liverpool - who were before the opening forced out to Manchester - need look no further than the Liverpool. Manchester locals are lucky to have the choice of 2 stores. And not too far away, there is also a store in Sheffield. However, regardless of all these locations of Apple outlets, those who would rather stay put are welcome to use the UK Apple online store instead, where the latest deals on Apple computers, iPads and iPods still apply. There are free delivery on offers over £80.
