A guide to Quinnipiac University
Founded in 1923 in New Haven, Connecticut as Connecticut College of Commerce, Quinnipiac University's (QU) main campus is now found in Hamden, Connecticut. It enrolls nearly 8,000 students in its undergraduate, graduate and professional programmes. The university has three campuses, located in Hamden, North Haven and Mount Carmel, Connecticut.

Quinnipiac University offers its students 52 undergraduate, and 20 graduate choices for study. In addition to this, the university has a school of law.
Involvement in research
Classes are small, and faculty members give students opportunities to be involved in research.
Internships
The university helps students to find internships, that helps them to build skills as they develop their resumes.
Part-time and online opportunities are available for students who, due to other obligations, do not have the time to participate in a traditional course of study.
School of Law
History Established in 1978, Quinnipiac School of Law was originally owned by the University of Bridgeport and was known as the University of Bridgeport Law. It was acquired by Quinnipiac University in the 1990s. About the School of Law The School of Law encompasses more than 130,000 square feet, and offers the students free wireless service throughout. QU School of Law gives students the choice to study a JD (Juris Doctor), JD/MBA (Master of Business Administration or a LLM. There is also a certificate programme available, and an opportunity to study law over the summer in Ireland. The law school encourages students to become involved through one of more than 25 clubs and organisations.
Students' life
Social The students' life is rich at Quinnipiac University. More than 90 student-led clubs and organisation, as well as activities, every Friday and Saturday night from 8 PM -1 AM, give students ample opportunities to have a social life. Spiritual Spiritual needs are met through the Office of Campus ministries, religious and spiritual clubs and classes of faith. In addition to this, students are able to participate in religious services around Hamden. Fitness and recreation QU provides a number of opportunities for students to participate in fitness and recreation activities. Students can take classes in kick-boxing, yoga or body-sculpting. They can also choose to go to the gym for a daily work-out. Students, who want to play a team sport, can participate in the volleyball, basketball, soccer, dodgeball or tennis intramurals. The mountains in the area, provide those who are outdoors the opportunity to hike, jog and camp. The city of Hamden has a variety of golf courses, skating rinks and riding stables, that students can take advantage of.
