Understanding whole wheat pasta

Wheat pasta is made from wholemeal flour. This makes the pasta taste a little different and some find it a bit heavier on the digestion. Most people don't, however, notice the difference between whole wheat and standard spaghetti. Therefore, if you want to start the move towards healthier pasta, this could be the way to begin.

Ideal beginner recipes

Pasta cooking is not as difficult as many people think it to be. Simply use a large pan of salted boiling water and cook the pasta for ten to twelve minutes until it is all dente, which means with a firm bite. To make a spaghetti carbonara for two Ingredients: 200g spaghett 200g pancetta or chopped streaky bacon 2 eggs 3 tablespoons of grated parmesan Cook the spaghetti as shown above. Meanwhile, fry the bacon or pancetta in a dry pan until the fat runs free. Whisk up the eggs and parmesan together. When the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and add the bacon and the egg mixture and stir in the pan for one minute. Serve. Alternatively, for a very light lunch, simply drain some cooked spaghetti, stir in a tablespoon of butter, dish onto plates and sprinkle with grated parmesan.
