An American indie rock band, ‘Modest Mouse’ was formed in 1993 in Washington, now based in Oregon. The name ‘Modest Mouse’ has been derived from the story ‘The Mark on the Wall’ by Virginia Woolf. ‘Broke’ was the first song by Modest Mouse in 1996. (1994), Interstate 8 (1996), The Fruit That Ate Itself (1997), Night on the Sun (1999), Building Nothing Out of Something (2000), Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks (2001), Sad Sappy Sucker (2001), Baron von Bullshit Rides Again (2004) and No One's First and You're Next (2009). Cassettes Modest Mouse also released two cassettes: Tube-Fruit, All Smiles and Chocolate (1993) and Uncle Bunny Faces (1993).

Tours

Many of the Modest Mouse tour performances were initially at DIY/Punk venues. They also began their North American tour in 2008. Modest Mouse has been a part of the Unlimited Sunshine Tour, an American traveling music festival.
