Strayer University is a higher education institute that is based out of Arlington Virginia. The university has 80 campuses spread across 17 states, mostly along the eastern side of the US from Pennsylvania in the north down to Texas in the south. The university has around 54,000 students studying its degree and certificate programs both on-campus and online.

Strayer University programs include certificates, diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, master's degree and executive graduate certificates.
The university's business school also offers MBAs for those interested in furthering their careers in industry or business. Degrees are available in subjects ranging from accounting, business, criminal justice, public administration, information technology, management, health services administration, and education to name but a few. Lectures are available as both synchronous classes and asynchronous classes. The former are real time interactive classes where both the professor and the student take part at the same time, while the latter are prerecorded lectures which can be viewed by students at any time.

As of 2011, the cost of taking a degree at Strayer University at undergraduate level was $1,590 per course, while at graduate level it was $2,175 per course. On top of this, students should include a $50 application fee and $250 for textbooks and university supplies. Options
