The story

Dr Katz is a professional psychotherapist who has many famous comedians as his patients. They come to him for therapy. Dr Katz lets them show some of their routine as they would perform on stage and gives them insight into their material. With actors and actresses, the therapy is more about the dialogue. In between the therapy sessions, are many scenes where you see Dr Katz in his daily life. You see his son Ben, his secretary Laura, and his friends Stanley and Julie. The shows started with Dr Katz and his son Ben at breakfast. They would end up with Dr Katz in a therapy session and music sounding. This would mean that he had to wrap up the therapy session. Jonathan Katz The main character's voice was done by comedian Jonathan Katz. Katz won an Emmy for his work on the show in 1995 in the category Outstanding Voice-Over Performance. He went on to do other voice work on the animated series Home Movies.

Animation

The animation was very recognisable. It was called Squigglevision. This is a sort of computer animation, which makes the outlines of shapes move. This makes it easier and faster to produce.
