Step one: Foundation
When buying a foundation, make sure that you choose a colour that matches your skin tone. Using a make-up sponge or the tips of your fingers, apply dots of foundation onto your cheeks, chin, forehead and the tip of your nose. Using the sponge, your fingertips or the foundation brush, blend the dots together. Pay special attention to your hairline and jawline, to ensure there's no obvious line.
Step two: Concealer
Your concealer should match your skin tone exactly. It can have yellow tones in it, or different tones.
-Camouflage your dark, under-eyes circles with a concealer
-Pat the concealer, never rub the concealer into the skin
Step three: Face powder and blusher
With face powders, you will just want to keep it very light. So, just do a light dusting all over your whole face, neck and chest to blend in your foundation equally.
Put the blush on your brush, tapping off any excess powder. Look into the mirror and smile.
This helps you figure out where the "apple" of your cheek is.
Apply blush only to apples of your cheeks. Keep colour light and blended
Step four: Eye shadow
Choose your primary colour first. This is the colour that you want to stand out the most.
- Apply this colour to the whole of your eyelid
- The next step is to apply the lighter colour eye shadow above this colour, and below your eyebrow
The entire area should be covered in one movement.
Step five: Eyeliner
The first step to applying eyeliner is to draw a thin line as close to the base of your eyelids as you possibly can. You should always start at the inside corner of your eye, and work your way out.
Dramatic look
If you find this difficult to complete in one line, short strokes can be used. If you wish to create a dramatic look when you apply eye make-up, you can also apply eyeliner to your bottom lids.
This is done in the opposite direction to the top eyelids.
Step six: Curl lashes
For added effect, an eyelash curler will even make long lashes look more gorgeous.
Step seven: Mascara
Sweep your brush side-to-side, while sweeping up to get a nice, even application on the lashes.
Apply only two coats, and allow the mascara to dry in between. This will help to make your eyelashes appear thicker.
Additional notes
If you are looking for a professional quality make-up, then use Mac make-up. It is used by professionals for celebrities. If you are looking for a reasonably priced quality make-up, then use Max factor make-up or Avon make-up.
