About Avant

Avant was born as Myron Avant in 1978 in Ohio. Avant was encouraged from an early age by his mother to pursue music as a career. At the age of 14, Avant began writing his own songs and although he finished high school, he kept believing that he should be working as an artist. Success His break came in 1998 when he released his début single, Separated. The song received great recognition and was played on the radio very often. Since this song became so popular and the way people talked about Avant as the next big thing, the latter had a record deal. In 2000, he released his début album called My Thoughts. It sold over a million copies. His follow-up albums Ecstasy went platinum and Private Room released in 2003 went gold. His next albums were also well-received but did not receive the kind of success as My Thoughts and the two subsequent albums had been.

My First Love

Keke Wyatt in My First Love Avant released My First Love in the year 2000, a remake of the ballad by Rene & Angela in 1983. It was the first single he released after Separated, and the first release since the album My Thoughts. The single featured Keke Wyatt. The success of My First Love put Wyatt in the picture since she is seen as one of the popular R and B singers in America. My First Love remained in the top ten for several weeks. The lyrics of My First Love are very romantic and tell of someone looking back on the first love they had and how beautiful it was. They decide that as long as they live, they will look back on their memories as the first and only love of their life.
