Review: Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

When planning a trip to Las Vegas, one of the first things to consider would be the accommodations. Las Vegas has it all, from extravagant to budget friendly. This review will examine one of the more extravagant hotels on Las Vegas, Caesars Palace.

Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace in Las Vegas was built in 1966 and was developed in order to capture the luxury and the kitsch, that is Las Vegas. It boasts 3348 units and reflects Roman decadence from a time gone by. With its Roman colonnades, pillars, faux marble Roman statues right down to the staff attired in gladiator outfits, Caesars palace is what Las Vegas is meant to be.

Positive points

Shopping
When considering the pros of Cesar Palace, the first thing that comes to mind is the shopping. The Forum Shops are considered the best in extravagance an indulgence. A shopaholic, who comes to the Forum Shops can very literally shop till you drop.
Pools One of the main attractions at Caesars Palace is its pool. Known as the “Garden of the Gods”, The 4.5 acres features four pools, two whirlpools and roman fountains including statues. This setting is very elegant, which may be the reason it is a popular wedding venue. The newly designed Venus Pool offers European style sunbathing. The Venus Pool guests are treated to hourly mistings with Evian water, fresh fruit and frozen towels to cool the sunburns. Great music and a hip crowd top off the experience. Accommodations Although, Caesars Palace is considered one of the older resorts on the strip, they recently underwent a major renovation and you would be hard-pressed to find a room that you have any complaints about. The prices of the Caesars Palace rooms range from standard, budget conscious to extravagant high rollers.

Negative points

Crowds Caesars palace is one of the mainstays on the Las Vegas strip and as such, is a popular destination for tourists even if they are not staying there. For this reason, Caesars can be very crowded in the shopping, casino and restaurant areas. There are very few, what are considered, “slow seasons” for Las Vegas, but one of the best bets to avoid major crowds would be to book your holiday stay for during the weekdays. Gambling The casino itself has been called one of the “tightest” along the strip, this means that you are going to spend more money trying to win at the slots or tables. Definitely, do your gambling at off-strip casinos. Caesar’s Palace is all-inclusive fun and the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Restaurants Some of the best on the strip, but be prepared to pay well for the best
