History
Chattahoochee Technical College is a two-year school. It has been in operation since 1961. When it first opened, it was one small campus in Marietta. Since then, through the building of additional campuses and a significant merger with Appalachian Tech and North Metro Tech, the school has seven campuses. The official mascot of the school is the Golden Eagle.
Extracurricular activities
Chattahoochee Tech is beginning to offer sports teams and a cheerleading squad that compete against other technical schools and junior-varsity teams of major universities. In addition to the sports teams, the school also offers several clubs and other extracurricular activities for students.

Programs Offered

What are the different courses offered on this campus? Chattahoochee Tech, which students often call Chatt Tech or CTC, offers many different programs of study. The nursing program is one of the largest in the state and students can either get an Associate’s Degree, diploma or certificate.
The business department offers majors in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing and Supervisory Skills.
Vocational fields
There are many other technical degrees or diplomas available in such fields as Automotive Repair, Early Childhood Education, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Computer Information Systems and many more. In addition, the school works with local businesses to offer work enrichment courses specifically tailored to these employers.

Accreditation

Chattahoochee Tech College has full accreditation by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, which allows it to award Associate’s Degrees.
Course organisation system
Through the summer of 2011, the school operated on a quarter system. However, they are moving to a semester system in fall 2011 that will make more of the courses transfer easily to four-year universities in the state of Georgia. Expansion
The school is still growing rapidly, with enrollment going up nearly every year. For students who wish to attend college but who are not yet ready, Chattahoochee tech offers a GED (General Equivalency Diploma) program and remedial level classes in math, reading and English.
