An introduction to Rocky Mountain College

Established in 1878, Rocky Mountain College (RMC) is also called Billings, Montana home. This private, Christian college is associated with the United Church of Christ, the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the United Methodist Church. Ranked as one of best regional colleges for the Western United States, RMC is housed on approximately 60 acres of land.

Academics

Accreditation
Rocky Mountain is accredited by the Northwest Commission of Colleges. In addition to this, different departments in the school have been accredited, through a variety of accrediting organisations.
Degrees and courses RMC offers students the choice of 48 majors and 31 minors. The school offers three masters degrees. Under-graduate students at RMC are required to take a battery of General Education classes in order to ensure that their education has a broad base. Classes at Rocky Mountain Classes at Rocky Mountain are small with a student/ teacher ratio of 11:1. Over 70% of classes offered at the college have less than 20 students. This means that students are able to get more personal attention from professors.

Academic services

Provision of tutoring and workshops Dedicated to the success of all its students, Rocky Mountain College offers academic services to those who attend. Tutoring is available, through the Services for Academic Success (SAS). SAS also provides workshops to help students with home-study skills, provides graduate school and career counseling, as well as support for students who have learning or physical disabilities

Library

The access to the library The Paul M. Adams Memorial Library is located in a building, that was opened in 1999 and is open on Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM- 4:30 PM. There are no weekend hours, although students and faculty can access the library databases and journal through remote Internet access. The public is welcome to use the library, which is connected to nine other Montana libraries.

Athletics

Sports activities RMC offers seven competitive sports teams for men and eight for women. The School has NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) accreditation for twelve of these sports. Men and women ski racing are apart of USCSA (United States Collegiate Ski Association). Rocky Mountain College students are extremely active in sports. Approximately, 33% of the student body participates in the sports program of the school.
