Guide to BA holidays

BA holidays are flight and accommodation packages booked on the British Airways website (Britishairways.com). Travellers can also use the BA website to arrange other components of their trips such as excursions, airport transfers and car hire.

Booking your BA holiday

Overview
The diversity of destinations that it serves allows BA to offer a wide variety of city and beach breaks both in Europe and beyond. Once you have decided where you want to go, log on to the British Airways website.
Key your destination, departure airport and dates of travel into the booking engine. Don't forget to select the flight and hotel option. Choose cabin class
At this stage you can also select your class of travel.
If you don't want to travel in Economy, you can opt for Club Europe on flights within Europe, or Club World on long haul routes.
Long haul routes also offer First Class and British Airways' version of premium economy called World Traveller Plus.
To make sure you receive the best value fare, select "lowest price" under "ticket type". When you click on "search" you will be presented with a variety of possible flight and accommodation combinations.
Read each hotel description carefully.
Log on at the same time to Trip Advisor and read reviews of any hotels which interest you.
When you have decided on a hotel click on the "choose and continue" button beside your chosen option.
Room options
You will now be presented with a selection of room options.
This allows you to change your board basis.
For example, you may feel it's good value to change from "room only" to "bed and breakfast".
In the case of a beach hotel, you may feel the "all-inclusive" option offers better value than "half-board".

Further choices

When you click on "choose and continue", you will be presented with a chance to change your outward or return flight and your accommodation.
Transfers and excursions
You also have an opportunity to book return transfers between your hotel and the airport you are travelling to, as well as "experiences" in your destination.
These include the purchase of "hop on hop off" bus tour tickets and popular excursions.
For example, if you book a British Airways holiday to Barcelona, you will be able to buy tickets for a tour of the city's famous football stadium and its museum.
