How to create an ePortfolio
An ePortfolio is a collection of a person’s work shown in electronic format. Each ePortfolio should start with a welcome or introduction. It is the first impression people will have of you, so it is important that you make it a good one. Some people who may use an ePortfolio are writers, models, and photographers. People use ePortfolios to gain employment or assignments in their chosen field.

Choose the ePortfolio
Choose the right pieces for your ePortfolio. For example, if you are trying to obtain magazine work, create your ePortfolio of graphic design work which relates to magazines. You should include five to ten pieces of your best most recent work. You should show diverse pieces which show an array of design skills. Each piece of work in your ePortfolio should be described with a title, the exact role of work, credits to other contributors, and a description of the work you did.
Include your resume
Your professional resume should be included in your ePortfolio. The resume should be in HTML format within the body of the ePortfolio. It should be at the beginning or the end of the ePortfolio, and never in the middle. The resume should also be available in downloadable forms, such as in Word or PDF format, so it can easily be printed out. Write a short biography and describe yourself in a professional manner. Differentiate yourself from other people in your field, so as to give an employer reasons to higher you over other people applying for the same job. Make your ePortfolio stand out.
Include your contact information
Make sure your contact information is included in the ePortfolio. Use a professional email address linked to the URL address of the ePortfolio. Create your ePortfolio in the field in which you are trying to find employment. Use your own style, be creative, but professional. For example, if you are looking for graphic design work, your ePortfolio is a great way to display your graphic design skills. Do not use a free email address like Hotmail or Gmail. Do not include your entire street address or phone number, as your electronic portfolio and the information in it is available to anyone surfing the web.
