Connect the PSP to computer
Connect the PSP to your computer via the USB cable. Plug one end of the cable into the PSP, and the other end into a USB port on the front or back of the computer. Press the Home button on the PSP. Click Settings on the PSP using the left and right arrow buttons. Click USB Connection on the PSP using the up and down arrow buttons. Press the X on the PSP to display the USB connection. Your computer will alert you that a new USB device has been connected. Click the Start butt and then click Computer. You will notice the USB device is listed as a hard disk with a corresponding letter
Copy music to PSP
Double-click the PSP drive to open it. Right-click any blank area of the screen, and select New Folder from the side menu. Name the folder PSP. Double-click the new PSP folder you just created to open it. Right-click on any blank area of the screen, and select New Folder from the side menu. Name the folder Music or whatever you want to call it. Click the Start button and then click Computer to open another computer window. Navigate to your MP3 files. Drag and drop these files into the first computer window into the Music folder you just created. The music transfers to the PSP. Press the o (disconnect) button on the PSP to disconnect it from your computer. Disconnect the USB cable from the PSP and computer.
Play music on the PSP
Click the Music icon using the left and right arrow keys on the PSP. Select Memory Stick using the up and down arrow keys on the PSP. Select the folder by press the X button. The music files you just transferred to the PSP are listed in this folder.
